SONG is a unique club that runs for fun! SONG is a club dedicated to promoting the sport of Lure Coursing by holding practices and occasionally putting on exhibitions to introduce the sport to the general public.
At the practices we socialize puppies, train, condition, correct bad habits, etc. SONG specializes in getting people and hounds ready for Lure Coursing competition. Practices are tailored to the hound’s needs.
This is a club that is run by and for the members. As time and space allow, we invite non-members to come run their hounds. All breeds may run.
SONG does not hold field trials since there are plenty of trials in the area. SONG holds lure coursing practices because there are very few opportunities for people to train their hounds for competition. SONG gives individual attention to each hound and provides a place to socialize young hounds and introduce them to the lure. It is also a good place for novices to learn about the sport of lure coursing. But mostly we run our hounds for the sheer joy of it! |
